Oh, Weeping Willow

Oh, weeping willow by the stream, why or for whom are you weeping? Is it that sky has lost its gleam? Oh, weeping willow by the stream, let me lie beside you and dream of love lost as night comes creeping. Oh, weeping willow by the stream, why or for whom are you weeping?

Kind of reminds me of the song, "Willow Weep For Me". Maybe that's the answer to your query. Great piece, Andrea, and congrats on its placement in the contest.

Smashing write, Andrea. We have a massive weeping willow that hangs right across our driveway. But Annie hates having its weepers trimmed, so I can’t get off our drive without the willow ‘cleaning’ my windscreen (windshield). Enjoyed your poem. Terry

Seemingly nostalgic yet breathing life into a natural gift on offer. Appreciating nature while exploring emotions.

Love weeping willows, your poem is lovely too Andrea. Maybe willow trees weep because of the many secrets they keep…Belle

My favourite garden to visit has an old weeping willow I often sit beside. A lovely poem in their honour Andrea.

Andrea, A dreamy place to be, even if love goes awry. Always the place to be when stars appear, under a willow tree. -Richard

My favourite tree... the weeping willow. Lovely write, dear. I'd love to also lie beside this magnificent tree to dream. Loved this write.
