Oh, Those Days of Innocence
Oh, those days of innocence when I was a child,
those lazy days with my two sweet brothers;
we had not a care and spent our days dreaming,
I loved to tell stories on the bed in the sun.
We snuggled close together,
I had the skill even then;
to make up stories,
for my two favorite boys;
I wish to turn back the pages to those days.
Oh, those days of simplicity when I was a child,
so much has happened in our life's since then;
I want to take them in my arms and protect them,
from all the struggles that they now face.
each day and today,
and call me a coward;
but my mind wants yesterday,
when we snuggled together;
and knew nothing but the joy of the sun and stories.
