He's grown up now, Has become a little man, Time for some independence, Yet, there is that longing... to be a little one again, to be the centre of attention, to be fed by his mother, to be safe within the four walls of home... He doesn't want to grow up so fast, Not yet... He wishes to savour his freedom for some more time, He wishes to go back to playing all the time with no restraints, At the same time, he also wishes to make new friends in his new school... Bless his heart. Gosh, they grow up overnight it seems. From a tiny seed to a tall, strong sunflower. That separation is tough for both mom and son, especially if he had a good mom. :)

Hi Joanna, My grandson is grown now, but has no desire to be a little boy again. He is still close to his parents and me On my part, I do wish you were little, but hey, he’s 6 foot one inches. He’s an excellent pitcher in baseball on junior varsity and he’s a great Christian as well. He is my young Prince! Pangie xx

He will learn to love it. And then on to the next phase and life REALLY gets difficult.

As the schools open, it is with contradictory feelings that children enter the school. They crave for freedom which they enjoy at home, but longs for company, they may get from school. This ambivalence of feeling is beautifully depicted.

They grow up so quickly and the time will come when we might even lose them, marrying some lovely girl.

Hi Joanna. Aah the warmth of yesterday and the uncertainties of tomorrow. We as parents can transfer our emotions onto others too from our own experiences and I'll stop there because I'm beginning to sound like some psychologist which I am most certainly not..just someone who enjoys a great read. :) Cheers - Gary
