Of My Inner Being

A peaceful calm persuades my mind and heart When the still, small voice speaks to my soul And completes the greater, quiet part Of my inner being. My self can only be completely whole When this spirit vows never to depart, And guides me to a more tranquil self-control. I need no other when I am walking apart From this world, no one to console When this serene spirit is the chart Of my inner being.
