October's Story Contes ~ November 4, 2023
Sponsored by Gina McIntosh

Mid October's leaves have wrinkled,
tattered and torn, they are crinkled.
Seasons must change, I understand.
Dear God, please keep hold of my hand
With russet hues of a wood thrush,
and rouge shades of October's blush,
Nature paints upon your command.
Dear God, please keep hold of my hand.
Orchards are ripe for picking,
and season's time clock is ticking.
There's never been a month so grand.
Dear God, please keep hold of my hand.
October's a kaleidoscope,
strengthening faith with Autumn's hope.
When trees are bare in a maple stand,
Dear God, please keep hold of my hand.
