Long and brown with moon pie eyes.
Was the perfect birthday surprise.
Thin and furry.
He is always in a hurry.
Broken tail has he.
Wags it with glee if he likes thee.
Fast as the wind.
Licks your face if you are his friend.
Chasing squirrels, his favorite thing.
Up the tree, the squirrels do zing.
Has a bed near the fireplace.
His very own space.
On the floor his toenails go clickety clack
He barks at the postman! Yakety yack!
He digs in mother’s garden.
A bath he will need when he’s done.
He’s the present I wished for.
He’s all I wanted and more.
He’s Fritz, my very my own puppy,
I love him and now you understand why!
