Numb With Loss

Sitting under the old willow tree, shedding a few memory tears, wondering when time will heal, my poor heartbrokenness, you're gone forever. Now I'll see you no more. Numb; death, you've won.

There are no winner's in death, unless Mother Nature knows something we don't. Wipe your tears, Jesus may have been a glitch, (resurrection) but a good one!

The song says you'll meet again, and I am sure its right. Dont know where, dont know when, but He will let you meet again, some sunny day.

Beautifully expressed and well spoken my friend. However, Death never wins anymore for the true Believer because Jesus conquered Death for us once and for all. She waits for you on the other side. God Bless my friend. JB

I understand your pain Victor, and that overwhelming numb feeling death is the absolute end, I do try tackle these dark issues in my poems, and am leaning more towards life and death as perpetually cyclical, not to give myself hope, but because I see it in the abstract nature of eternity, an excellent nonet, cheers David

this is short and yet you pack a wallop of emotion into it. GREAT nonet writing, Victor.

Your nonet is well crafted, and conveys our helplessness in the face of death. I do hope your grief eases with time, my friend.

WoW! Victor, You penned a well-written poem about heartache and loss. The last portion of your poem was so sad and heartfelt. I hope that one day the pain of losing your wife will not hurt as much. Have a great day my friend-Alexis

I have not lost a mate so I can in no way know what you are going through. This past weekend we had a young wife and mother to die at age 28 leaving a husband, a 2 1/2-year-old child and a 8-month-old child. I cannot imagine how hard this must be on all of them and the actual acceptance and dealing with all the emotions is still ahead. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara
