Nowhere Fast

It's hard to drive forward Looking in the rear view mirror I'm driving really fast To get away from here When did my life become A country song cliche Should I pick up a guitar To sing my blues away If I had me a dog It would leave me real soon The Worlds driving me crazy A perpetual full moon Feelings of confusion Several forks in the road It's tough to keep going Under a heavy load That girl called to Jesus Asked him to take the wheel I really do get it It finally seems so real No more looking backwards I hum too a different beat Life is a lot less stressful I like the passenger seat I know my destination Will be where I need to go I was going nowhere fast Jesus says let's take it slow

I think this could be structured into a pretty good song.

Hey, this was great fun to read. And I like the references to other country songs. I sure love country music and this has a great message in it.

I don't listen to country that much but I do like Carrie's song. I have enjoyed that county girl Cree on American Idol.

This is one of your most profound yet... and it flows so effortlessly. I've always loved that song and I love how you included it. It's probably the only Carrie Underwood song I care for. This was really refreshing to read and calms me down a bit... especially after watching a very disturbing clip about the Truth Revealed, on what people our doing to our atmosphere with toxic aluminum particles... *sigh*... I should heed your advice and sit my butt on the passenger seat!! Thanks for this...

It's a hard one to do especialy when you love driving. The problem is that most of us have defective GPS

Richard, love the positive ending to this. Yes, He is in control. He has a plan A for our lives...the good news? He can bring blessings out of plans B and C and.....Keep up the faith! :)
