Barbara, I really like this haiku. Rain is indeed a lullaby when it is that steady beat above the head...it's very calming:) It is to be a cold night indeed, though thankfully the wind is not blowing or it would seem even colder. The frost on the windowpanes although they make us cold, the patterns are quite pretty to look at! Thanks for your comment on my recent post, Barbara! much appreciated:) Carol

the way they make houses now you cant even hear the rain. but i remember the tin roofs of my past and the hoof beats of the rain as it got harder and harder. thanks for the memory. T. S.
