Night Dread-Word Morph

Night comes and he is filled with fright because eight evenings in a row, great dread he's had to fight while in his bed. He lies now waiting for the morning light. March 11, 2019 for Jesse Rowe's "Word Morph Poem" Contest Hope I did it right!

I'm thinking, yes - you did write it right. 'ight' was a good pick. Oh, you - you threw in 'right' to match the other lines, didn't you? Color me slow, but big time grinning! Love, CayCay

Ha, the "right" thing was totally unintentional!! but it makes me look clever! someone said something about the word "right" down below and I did not know what he was talking about until you just said this to me.

I think it is more than right, I did not even recognize it as a morph poem, it flows nicely, Andrea.

I dread the night for lack of light...and fear the day, for no place to hide. Very well penned! Short but packed with avenues of speculation. I love poetry that doesn't so much as say but opens doors and windows to let imagination in. Great read!
