'never-Ending Love'

they met at fourteen years old, he was shy but she loved his smile her brother had brought him home and he stayed for supper . . . her eyes flirted with him across the table and he was fascinated- oh, she yearned for time alone with him perhaps to give him a passionate kiss and to feel that hair that fell across his eye . . . he came back again and again and not because of her brother either. they would sit together talking holding hands with adoration and love blossomed . . . romance soon led to a true love story . . . they were my grandparents- no two people were ever in love as much it was heartwarming to see their devotion and joy in each other . . . yes, they married young and life was not always easy for them but they worked hard and had a very happy life their love only grew stronger as years passed . . . they shared their emotions easily. they were like salt and pepper like two peas in a pod so alike and yet each had a spirit all their own . . . grandpa was such a funny man always making jokes and grandma, well she was so sweet their love was packed full of love never-ending . . . _______________________________ April 30, 2018 Poetry/Free Verse/'never-ending love' Copyright Protected, ID 18-1225-179-01 All Rights Reserved.
