Hi Linda, This is just a wonderful surprise. I needed cheering up as the floods and hot weather that we had before are wiping me out. I have a sister living in Bundaberg but luckily they were okay. Some of their friends however, were not so lucky. Many lost everything except the clothes they are in right now. Have you seen it? Pam Talk soon. Love Pam

Hi Pam, i'm hear to share another thought with you... I see that the lovely gift you got was a fun to keep teddy bear... I think you should enter this poem in the Teddy Bear contest.. Thank you very much Linda. I will take your advice and admit it into the contest. Who knows what might happen. I have just had another visit to hospital. I was on a cruise and had to disembark before it finished with my husband.Who would have thought? Pam

Thank you so much Kim.This was my first try at a Tanka Poem. I saw that I had won a placement but I have been in hospital for spinal surgery. Unfortunately, this was abandoned due to complications. I went to the Intensive Care Unit for five days. After that I went back to a general ward in a private room. That night I had a cardiac arrest and was admitted immediately back to the Intensive Care Unit. I have to go back for further surgery. One more thing because I am new,can you tell me where to find the announcement of my win for my poem. I still can't believe it. Love, Pam

Hi Samuel, First of all thank you so much for your lovely welcome.I was trying sometime new with the Tanka. I hadn't done any other type of poetry other than rhyme and lyric. Such a surprise. Could you please tell me how to find Andrea's Winners List as I am new and have no idea. I will do an introduction about myself in the forum then people might understand why I can't do as many reviews as I liked. My illlness gets in the way of this. I will give a bit of general information. I see that you are a very accomplished poet. I will try and take some time to read a few before I have to return to hospital again in two weeks for further neck surgery. Love Pam x

I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one. It is in the competition, I wonder how it will go. There are more experienced poets here. I'm just a novice trying to learn more.
