empty nesting box blue **** have vanished from sight sparrows eyed their home I’ve not seen the pair of blue **** recently, it seems that some sparrows had been vying for the nest box – they are too big to go through the hole but it seems they’ve scared the nesting birds birds away 4/30/18

It was a brand new box in 2016 and they would have been the first occupants. I hope it does eventually bring the flutter of tiny wings:-) hugs jan xx

Bluebirds were everywhere when I was a boy. Now they are rarely seen. Next to the cardinals, they were the easiest birds to spot. As for my poem, yes, Jan, I also start a poem with the last line and work backwards. / M

The old box was used every year but suffered with the weather and had to be taken down, this new one has been vacant for 2 years so I was delighted when they started nesting. I see fewer birds bees and butterflies these days:-( hugs Jan xx

Aghh that's a Shame Jan, It's not a nice thing when bigger birds scare off the smaller ones, laws of the jungle I suppose. Tom.

Hubby saw the sparrows around the box and they were trying to get in but the hole is too small but I think it scared the little birds away:-( hugs Jan xx
