My Time- a Lesson From the Falling Leaves
The shriveled leaves are falling
Falling….
No longer able to hold on
No longer able to be
Part of the living tree
And so they fall…
A flirtatious breeze
Lures them away
And they go on this their final ride
Swirling this way and that
Making the most of every moment,
They fall…
Beautifully raining dryness on me
And I lie still
Enshrouded by the dead leaves
And I smile
I smile….
Knowing that my time will come
And I will fall…
Fall dying to the ground.
I will go on that final ride
And as I fall…
I will let the wind caress me
I will breathe my last breath
And lie still…
Crumpled on the ground.
But for now…
For now I’m holding on…
Now is my time to be young and beautiful!
Now is my time….to live!
