My Three Lovely Trees

Each spring when winter has trudged away, I love to drive up to my house and see my trees in bloom. The ornamental pear tree, so tall and dignified, is like a bride in a gown adorned with white florets. The ornamental plum tree stands stately too nearby, her limbs bejeweled in a myriad of amethysts. Behind them both, the cherry willow greets me with leafy swaying arms arrayed in petals pink. While her lower half hangs low, the top half of this tree reaches for the sky wearing charms of white like snow! Hello Andrea ... some trees almost become members of the family and whether it be blooms or fruit, they are beautiful - thank you Andrea - Lindsay

The pear tree sounds marvelous "like a bride in a gown adorned with white florets." I had one, but it could not survive Kansas winters.

Trees are just the most captivating beauties and you painted yours so well. I love tree trunks and the form of trees, as well as their leaf shapes and structures. I will look for you on the winners' list.

Yes, they are wonderful for us for our oxygen, and they are almost like humans in some ways!! I just love yards with wonderful trees.

You must be a Christian with only three instead of four beautiful trees . . . . Enjoyed!

Actually in total we planted three in back and three in front. One very interesting one in the front was crowding the other trees, so we had to remove it. I used my pretty willow from the back to portray the third tree and imagined it in the front yard. All told, we now have five trees and that's my lucky number!! I planted a walnut tree six years ago but it refused to ever grow, so that one we took down too

So beautiful, as always. We need to invent new words to describe your poetry:) Now, I'm going to google"cherry willow" to see if they will grow here. Good luck in the contest! P.S. Your yard sounds lovely. :)

did you find cherry willow? I hope I gave it right name. My cherry willow must have been mixed with another species of tree because year after year it became less a willow until today it is almost all white in April and not hanging down with pink blossoms. So weird.
