Women in my family . . .
who have inspired me in life;
from childhood I felt so loved.
My mom was all kindness;
now, in my garden her spirit dwells !
My grandma was the family storyteller,
I would sit on her lap in awe;
watching her facial expressions and the flux of her voice.
Did she realize she was creating a writer;
and leaving me with the gift of words ?
My sister is the total opposite to me,
but we were brought close by our parents deaths;
I will not forget her tears when I was sick.
Now, I also have a beautiful loving niece;
who just gave birth to an angel girl!
