My Secret Garden
There is a special secret place
Where my heavy heart will go
Fair this lovely little garden
Care of nature here I know
Alone, gentle breezes whisper
Grown in solitude, branches sway
Stone wall a place to linger
Intone the songs that waters play
Between the beeches iris grow
Unseen a nest buried in the branch
Green a place to rest my head
Queens of spring, the daffodils dance
May you find your secret garden
Away from the madness and the strife
Play a bit in innocence, and
Stay the hard edges of your life
