On the day we got wed you were so thirsty for life
sadly we knew your cancer had spread deep inside
I cherished the moment we became man and wife
although my heartbreak I just could not hide
You’ve asked to be buried in your dress of white lace
which you wore yesterday when we hurriedly got wed
Your raven hair now frames your pale beautiful face
I caress your cheek as you rest in your hospice bed
You’ve chosen the music to be played on the day
when your rainbow coffin is interred into the ground
True love does not die; my grief I must not display ...
you said don’t be melancholy when I’m not around
required words melancholy, thirsty, music, beautiful
Chosen line to use - Line 4. love does not die
