My First Blind Date

My first love was a blind date A little nerves and I couldn’t wait Put on my makeup and poked my eye and I cried and choked I soaked and was very Irate I rushed to open the door Caught my toe on the carpet on the floor Did he think this was unwise? oh Eve I was totally blown away the contest was full after less than 48 hours - I have now broken my duck with judging - it was lovely seeing the winners after the contest was finalised - i had no idea who had written which poem so it was lovely to comment on each poem afterwards:-) hugs Jan xx
