War, Soldiers, Parachutes, Paratroopers, Warrior

My dear father tells big tall tales, his creative words have great sails; quite believable with details, his delivery never fails. I like his war story ! Holds the finger on his right hand, crooked, but it gets very grand; injured in war when in command, Then it gets just gory ! Odd, 'cause he was not in the war, but his words would expand and pour; his tale long and had wings to soar, my fathers tales I did adore. They had lots of fury ! ____________________ April 08, 2022 Poetry/Tail-Rhyme/My Dear Father Copyright Protected, ID 04-1446-479-09 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France (Rest in peace Daddy) Written for the Premier contest, Tall Tales 2 sponsor, Jeff Kyser, Judged 05/05/2022

Andrea, thank you so much for the comment, my dad even had alternate endings but he actually injured his finger when trimming trees at the back of our yard, nearly cut his finger off and it healed crooked, we took the electric saw away from him, for his safety and because we wanted some trees left in the yard ~Constance

Reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. I am sure that he was gifted with the wonderful tales of his youth and that is what made you who you are. Thank you for your visit. Sara

Sara, thank you so much for the encouragement, yes, Dad had the skill of storytelling down, sometimes he would change the story a bit for dramatic effect, lol, blessings ~Constance

"but his words would expand and pour; his tale long and had wings to soar," So you have inherited that quality from your father..... ! Pedigree is a great factor Constance and you should be thankful. Enjoyed your poem on your deceased father! I too pray with you... May that great soul rest in peace !
