My Calico Tears Fall

Charcoal black, is this summer, humid night. All five feral cats disappeared from sight. They are part of the our ecosystem. But, I look out the window and miss them. They played like crazy on my deck at night. Now, left with tears, since they are out of sight. Mama Calico and I’d loved each one other. While, red and white kittens chased each other. God did move them to a much better home. Heartbroken am I, they did quickly roam! 7/13/2022 ~1~

I like the story of the Calico cats, Panagiota. Good imagery and descriptions. You gave them what they needed and they returned the favor. Nice life experience, move on and have some more my friend. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Dear friend Bill, I am truly honored by your comment! I just gave them water. But once my daughter left for Tennessee, I could not fill their bowls in the yard. My broken leg, though healed, my balance is way off. So I did put water on the deck. I think we might get more, This time water on the deck! As I told you before, you are a credit here. Thank you. Panagiota, with love xxx

Hi my friend. I adore your tender words and heart.Glad you are part of this poetic community. Even my cat Irene is depressed! She stays in her room now, gee! She loves cats and visitors.i am late in replying, John to these responses to many. Forgive this heartbroken poet. I live in a friendly neighborhood. My dreams are they found someplace better. I miss them doing the Bissau Nova under the stars on my deck. Panagiota, with hugs, xxx

Lovely verse, Pangie, the music tone of each word that flows like a flute. Kitties are such playful creatures, seeing them chasseing each other as one hide and the other seek, then pounce on each other. Blessing my friend
