My Calico Tears Fall
Charcoal black, is this summer, humid night.
All five feral cats disappeared from sight.
They are part of the our ecosystem.
But, I look out the window and miss them.
They played like crazy on my deck at night.
Now, left with tears, since they are out of sight.
Mama Calico and I’d loved each one other.
While, red and white kittens chased each other.
God did move them to a much better home.
Heartbroken am I, they did quickly roam!
