Mutts and Butts
Dogs, to my thinking, I will admit
lack decent public etiquette.
When meeting one of their kind
they quickly nose its behind.
Why this should be so,
I have no desire to know.
Naturally, this habit is to some
squeamishly unwholesome.
And yet, in my dog’s defense,
the habit gives me no offense.
More disgusting to my thinking
are humans who think nothing
of kissing a fellow human’s rear
for gain and a lucrative career.
