In colors of orange and gold,
Autumn inflames my heart and soul.
Yet, I lament summer's passing,
its dry bones crunching as I stroll.
Cold nights ink tree-top canopies,
in colors of orange and gold.
And brisk breezes blow in like thieves,
swirling breaths and causing contrails.
Fall is a seasonal package
wrapped in multicolored ribbons.
In colors of orange and gold,
Autumn rejuvenates my muse.
Fall is a burst of fireworks;
a color extravaganza.
For Jack Frost gilds green foliage
in colors of orange and gold.
