Moon Thoughts

Moon thoughts Sitting out in the backyard far from the glow of the city in one of two lawn chairs positioned facing east, I gaze upon the rising moon, watching in silence as it climbs above a slowly fading horizon And I think to myself… is it lonely, this bright shining orb sitting there all by itself in the vast turquoise heavens Is it hoping for a beautiful star to join it on a warm springtime evening like this When I see it appear, the first star, a glistening gemstone, dazzling in illumined brilliance just to its right and I wonder as I look to the empty chair just to my right, is the moon perhaps thinking the same thing about me Good night Soupers Have a great weekend See you again on Monday

We are never really alone Chris...So if the moon was thinking that about you...Its thinking wrong. .Having said that though..I dont mind being alone with the moon...and nobody else..mind you.Lovely beautiful poem Chris..I feel a tint of loniliness in this..and a yearning to have somebody near maybe..to share the moon with you. ...You transmit amazing feelings through words.

Thank you so very much my sweet friend. Yes, just a bit of loneliness but staring up at the universe that is so vast, it is easy to be taken away by how small we are in the grand scheme of things. I appreciate you leaving such nice thoughts for me.

We enter a world composed of reality defused with imagination, where the moon is a metaphor for loneliness and an empty chair is reality's answer. Beautifully executed. Emile. #7

Morning Chris. I know you're away from the computer so you won't see this until Monday Morning. However, words would stand true now or then. Have the chairs face North to find the North Star for that star is the center and home to always guide. The moon isn't lonely because she is far busy guiding and granting the light of love and its passion. The chair may appear empty at first glance but the moon won't let it be. This is beyond beautiful with such emotion that fills. Exceptional work.

Perhaps I will try that, facing north. Honestly facing north is where my heart usually goes. Thank you so very much my friend for always leaving such wonderful gifts for me to find on my poetry.

Moon Dreaming ... I have found myself doing this after my bonfire starts dying down. Here I picture that first star shine, the air has cooled, the moon is big, creating the "vast turquoise Heavens" instead of dark sky. Very nice Chris :) Have a GREAT weekend my friend !!

I really enjoyed this, Chris. Reminds me of the nights I (and the mosquitoes) sit out on the deck. I saw an albino raccoon once, with pink eyes. Sweet Dreams and Happy Weekend.
