a short, romance, reality check
The stars always shine but we must turn from the sun to see them.
I existed not knowing - misdirection’s patsy - I couldn't spot the bluff.
Empty looking seas are full of trash and spring waters are full of plastic.
I thought I had measured and understood you but nothing’s what it seems
Seduced by illusions, I couldn’t wait to see you - now I hardly think of you.
You're a childhood lesson, a chalkboard memory, erased and forgotten.
