There are many things that take my breath away
Gentle rain drizzling softly, whispering through my prayers
Stardust clinging to my laughter on the edge of night
Snowflakes shimmering on the pines, melting in the sunlight
Crisp, cool mornings rustling with leaves, vibrant, dancing
… falling through the Autumn dreams
There are many things that take my breath away
Above them all, though, comes the One who gave me
Eternal life, relief from strife, hope of the afterlife
The One who was born in a stable, surrounded by grace,
Alive with sweetest faith… praising our Creator, amazing…
… He would go to a cross to save me
There are many things that take my breath away
The laughter of a child who is filled with pure delight
The inspiration of a heart who loves beyond its thoughts
The miracle of a birth, the pleasure in nature – our earth
The wisdom of giving Jesus His rightful place
… inside a heart who longs to worship the Savior
There are many things that take my breath away
But, it is His love that leaves me feeling weak with thanks
That I can know Him personally, worship him permanently
Throughout eternity – everlasting peace bringing to me
A sense of assurance that I have been chosen to believe
… in the beautiful Savior, the One who created me
There are many things that take my breath away
This Christmas Eve… I’m thankful to be a child of His
The One who came to give us a second chance
A renewed faith – born in the shadow of His cross
Where He gave us the opportunity to seek Him out
… be forgiven and live with Him everlastingly!
Merry Christmas Eve, my friends
May your hope, faith and love
Never leave you wanting or worried
But forever praising the One
Who created and gave us each one
… love that is greater than any present I know!
