Memory Fails Her Again

What can a woman say to the world: when she reached the age seventy? She lived her life according to everybody rules. A mother, friend, wife, and co-worker: how perky Her years of really living have past her by There is nothing left but shattered memories, Old unpaid church tithe’s "Oh how she cried". A closet of daily reminders: dusty and outdated Unable to finish organize her tops, it seems her memory fails Holding on to what matter most; shattered memories She stumbled half-awake to her bed, frustrated

Unfortunately this is what too many of we taught to do women do until we are older and figure it out. Sad too wasted years... thanks
