Memories Are Born

The empty bench at the boardwalk, Waits for someone to sit and relax Underneath lingering golden hues Where birds watch from the bushes As if welcoming company, to be heard While they eat the berries there A peaceful place to retreat and relax Gather thoughts in the falling leaves As the color fades, memories are born Heidi Sands 10/24/19

A beautiful description of one of your favorite places. I love the picture you paint here. I could see the quiet lonely beach and the sea shore with the birds swooping about and the empty bench waiting for someone to come and sit. Great job. God Bless, JB

Thank you Judy. Actually, this boardwalk is at a park in the mountains, but what you describe is just as nice too! I appreciate your kind comment. :)

I'm with Gershon below. This was beautiful Heidi. Such a peaceful scene you have created that makes me long to visit and sit on that bench watching the day pass by.
