Memories Are Born
The empty bench at the boardwalk,
Waits for someone to sit and relax
Underneath lingering golden hues
Where birds watch from the bushes
As if welcoming company, to be heard
While they eat the berries there
A peaceful place to retreat and relax
Gather thoughts in the falling leaves
As the color fades, memories are born
