Melting Rainbow
I could watch and think, they said I’m small boy
One dusk in summer dark clouds draped the sky
We went to a park leaving home my toy
Rains started falling on the green grass dry.
Cool rain drops hit my face, I ran in joy
A bench I found for me not very high
Climbed to view the scene from height to enjoy
A dotted red umbrella kept me dry.
Half rainbow arch held the raining cloud’s arm
On umbrella melted the other half
Drenched twilight glow lighted my face with charm
To fill my eyes with awe that was enough.
This scene of gripping beauty I could etch
In my tender mind for my life to match.
