Medical Emergency

ONE I wanted to write about an emergency My wife's medical scare, a backed-up kidney But I got to this site without a pen -- I had paper, notebooks, two of them, my Bible, phone ... TWO What can I say about Thursday (Maundy Thursday, another way) Before Good Friday, and our family emergency I was 200 miles away, I had no advance warning At work - above the noise, I decided to pray A short interceding, then a full page of appeals Preceded by glorifying the Unchanging One, submitting our wills As I texted the small prayer groups three-years-in-the-making! Quality trumps quantity, 1 Thessalonians 5: 17: Pray without ceasing O, after decades in America, I finally have an extended family ... THREE Ahead of Good Friday, the afternoon of Maundy Thursday Jesus Christ, my Master & President, showed up early! On a Thursday, Jesus instantly made her pain-free From a night of terror and horror, excruciating pain ... Within hours she was pain-free, pills not necessary - Removed, rebuked, redirected out, to a pit? That stone ... We know the Resurrection intimately this season - New life, restoration, rejuvenation, thanks to a praying community (And my wife's respect for Jesus is NOT like their's! Or mine - As so many others say, He is good but not GOD of salvation) THE GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel seeks to bless each tribe, Every nation (Genesis 12: 1,2,3!) Mercy and Grace are new each morning "unmerited favor," we never earn such goodness, or blessing Even for those bewildered by Our Triune God, He comes every time We pray in community for others, as if they are our OWN! Amen & amein

Dear Anil - I logged in for a moment and thought I would say hello - I'm so sorry for the scare not to mention the pain - I'm sorry also that you were apart at that time - may this day find you and your family both well - as always - shalom shalom shalom
