Me name is Punxsutawney Phil
I was forced to leave my burrow
and end my nice long sleep.
I have the chance to make brows furrow;
that’s a promise me shall keep.
As I explored the Pennsylvania morning
me thinks this is a test.
Spot my shadow whilst sun is dawning,
and I’ve earned some extra rest.
Crazy humans, they’ll be watching, for they’re certainly nosy.
They’ll come from near and far, just wait and see.
Many will come and some will stay home, nice and cozy
enjoying that famous flick starring Bill and me.
Will I hibernate or get up?
I can decide either way.
It’s an oft-repeated set up.
After all, it’s Groundhog Day
