May your spirit rise to meet God And take the Hand of Christ With the knowledge that you’ve Won, thanks to His great sacrifice May you know the glory of praising As eagerly as you played futtball On this earth where you made the game Seem like it took no skill at all May you find the answer to your prayers In the rising sun and the shooting star There in the heavens where you await The opportunity to throw a futball May you whisper of all the intrigue That comes from saving the day With a final race to that great resting Place in the heavens you do grace May you know what it means to discover A love that is like no other, a love that Is stronger than the love you have felt For the futball game and all it’s plays May you answer to your Maker God That you have done your best, given Your all… to this game that gave us all So much pleasure to watch from the stands May you breathe a prayer of pure faith In the knowledge that He created you to play And give your life to this exhilarating game That gave back to you a well known name… Maradona! Regina, thanks for participating in my contest and congrats on your placement. You beautifully captured Maradona's contributions to soccer and otherwise and connected it to divinity so well. Best. Mohan

It is a sad day indeed, the soccer world is reeling, especially in Argentina where he's from. Maybe use a soccer ball since that what he played. Outside of US they call soccer futbol (football) Very nice write Gina
