I wish, that I could still dance like before,
Before, I was sick and almost went to heaven;
I used to be able to spin and twirl on the dance floor,
Before, I would leap like a gazelle on the count of seven;
Oh, I wish I could still fly in the air like a soaring beautiful raven.
I wish, I had the strength I used to possess,
Like a majestic bird, I floated, whirled and twirled;
Oh, in the softest, most delicate and palest chiffon dress,
Now, I dance like that at night, in my dreamy dream world;
I still dance and each day at class, make a wish, as I am whirled.
