Love's Star

The velvet sky leaned down brushing the earth tenderly; shyly, the little stars looked on in awe, anticipation shining. The atmosphere held its breath; all around the universe quivered, waiting . . . waiting for love's recognition, for you to reach out and touch my face realizing we were partners in the timeless dance of life. i saw the morning star rise in your eyes and, suddenly, it was dawn in the middle of the night. ©Faye Lanham Gibson, April 29, 2015
