Love's Promise

Your silhouette I see in the far blue Where soft scents linger and stay on the wind Morning glow rises slowly behind you I thank Almighty God for you again Fingertips from gentle hands bring a wish To build a world in a world brightly shone Share with carnations and roses a kiss As we stay the King and Queen of heart's throne Our love will carry us through graying years To feast upon the purest love we know One day in peaceful flight beyond tears I'll soar high to find you, my love, below You promised when I laid in still repose On my casket, carnations and a rose 10/3/17 contest Roses and Carnations
