Love Whispers
I whispered my love to the wind,
It floated in the breeze and died,
I whispered my love to the sea,
It rode on the waves and vanished,
I whispered my love to the sun,
It spread with the rays and melted,
I whispered my love to the hills,
It reached the summit and faded,
I whispered my love to a plant,
It folded its leaves and wilted,
I whispered my love to a bird,
It sang a dirge and flew away,
I whispered my love to my love,
And he whispered it back to me.
