The agony of love lost pierces the heart and contorts the soul. Betrayal severs forever bonds, draining the heart of love and the soul of hope. You call upon fledgling feelings to come forth from memory and carry you through this ordeal. Because love and hate share opposite sides of fate's coin; trust magnifies expectations filtered through the optics of hope. We all have egos and pride, often to our detriment when young and freshly weaned off innocence. You feel you know your future; then...bam; love's fake facade crumbles and breaks your heart. Falling out of love empties your heart tear by tear. And sadness surges from your core, melding with reality in quiet acceptance. You're lost in a frightening fog and break out laughing and crying simultaneously! It's a conundrum; fate seems receptive to your wants yet non-responsive to your needs. Love is elusive, and doubt haunts its fringes, but so, too, does hope! A spontaneous eruption of feelings love doesn’t respect rules and conditions; it’s hard to categorize, seldom adhering to logic or accepted norms.
