Love Has Taught Me
Love has taught me
to look deeply, beneath
the green of the heart’s
tender shoots –
every living soul
draws from a reservoir
of mixed feelings,
a spring of good laced
with evil –
I pray each day
we together strive
to trickle upwards,
in the ways of God….
