Love a Silhouette

To know that once in a world wrought with pain, Two lovers found peace in a meadow warm. And though class and station would not retain, They crossed love's bridge like sparrows in a storm. Time flows like tides moving towards and away, And tears from the heart wash out to sea, Rushing back into the mind to stay. Filling the quiet with pained memories. There in love's soft field, they both surrendered. When eyes lifted slowly and dreams were met. Each kiss preserved in amber, remembered, Truth became real and love a silhouette. Sadness fills the hearts of those parted. Caused by old turmoils neither had started. 10/23/15
