Lost Pieces
My heart shattered into pieces
The sad day you said goodby.
You had sworn you'd love me ever,
Now I know that was a lie.
When your new love has betrayed you
And you find yourself alone,
Please don't think I will be waiting.
I'm not answering my phone.
Once a loving heart is broken,
It will take a while to heal.
Since you've shown your sly duplicity,
You have lost your great appeal.
When I picked up the pieces of
My heart from off the ground,
The part that held my love for you
Was not there to be found.
