Lost Love
Lost Love
It was amazing when we first laid eyes
on each other, both tumbling and on fire.
I found myself in rainfalls and blue skies
drowning in his gaze, a flame of desire.
Couldn't shake the shallow feel that clawed my soul,
wrapping around me like a vise when I
felt the dark dread that completed my whole.
Every fiber told me to say goodbye.
He wasn't my obligation to permit
this insatiable attraction to gain;
their furtive look was not denying it.
It became difficult to bare the pain.
Lost love buried inside now free from strife,
quite, humble, nonchalant, ascetic life.
