last night . . . I had a very strange dream a nightmare really I was walking in an abandoned building with gloomy narrow corridors and stairways interweaving endlessly floor to floor leading to more corridors the windows had no views and doors led to more corridors it seems, I am searching for something something I have lost and need soon, I realize the only way to get away is to end the dream . . . and after I lay in my bed panting confused what did it all mean (?) ___________________ June 26, 2022 Poetry/Free Verse/lost in a maze Copyright Protected, ID 05-1467-894-26 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Premier contest, A Brian Strand Premiere Choice sponsor, Brian Strand, Judged 06/29/2022

Do you sometimes feel that life is closing in on you, Constance? I think we all do feel that way at times. And I believe that dreams often reveal the deeper longings, fears, and challenges of our innermost being. Just a few thoughts....

Milt, thank you so much for the visit and comment, I cannot understand the dream and it is sort of upsetting. But, to me it may mean that I am looking for answers to questions but will never get answers because the person/persons are dead, but why are the halls narrow, could be what you wrote ? blessing ~ Constance
