Lost
Dreaded was the dawn
dawn's morning light,
every dawn a spotlight
on my perpetual night
nowhere to hide
if not for the shadows between
all star gazing not for glitter
and beam --
just to close my eyes --- escape into
dream --
-----------------------------------------
but God is with us
no matter how far our travel,
whether clear heights
or cloudy towers of Babel --
He counts not
our battles, nor makes ledgers of sin
only seeks
a sliver opening
for His Christ
invited in.....
