Little Blue Me

When high hopes get tossed
The blues come on 'round,
What once was long lost
Can be so easily found

They'll be gone in a hurry
Too fast for you to see,
So, don't you worry
'Bout little blue me

I'll just play that song
'Til the mood has passed,
'Til the blues say, so long
They never really do last

Singing all the words
Up there in my head,
Whistling like the birds
And off the blues fled

Dark days like these
They come and they go,
In and out like the breeze
And that's life, I know

I'll make them scurry
Far and away they'll be,
So, don't you worry
'Bout little blue me.

Lovely Kelly. Music can be such a great healer and give you a pause from the blues, so true. Your poem would make a nice song. Right now the northeast is having an massive, freezing snowstorm. After reading this blue-zee poem, I shall ask Alexa to play, Summertime and The Living Is Easy, by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Your poem just gave me that idea! What a good one for me today, thank you Kelly, hooray!!!!!
