Like a Soft Sigh
Who knows why sunsets bring tears to my eyes,
but I've cried, mesmerized, as the sun dies.
Hoots from a nearby owl bid day goodbye,
and Night's stars shine in an ebony sky.
Luna rises when bats begin to fly
while time, like a soft sigh, slowly slips by.
