Lies Are Nothing
Lies are nothing but broken bridges
On empty roads
The ignition to start ‘endings’
Goodbyes that last forever
A plume of mistrust left lingering
Above the steaming pavement
In the sun of a barren desert
Where no-one can be seen for miles
Left barefoot on the hot sand
Truth dies of thirst
Where the lies leave nothing
But a mirage out of reach…out of touch
