Lessons from bird's brains

If I miss tender voices Maybe I'll be gentler with myself Any interaction is 50% me after all If I speak less I'll perhaps reflect more Especially from this safe space Where I'm sprinkled with good news and affirmation I'm like a tiny bird on a delicate branch Almost unaware that breezes become gusts Thinking I can sing a little song Not care if anyone listens or hears Just a melody for myself But why not linger in this moment Not singing songs about broken branches Nor fearing distracting tunes That will not benefit me So nature provides for my every whim today I should enjoy it Before the weather turns

Wow this is absolutely stunning and so evocative dear dd, i felt this, especially “ I'm like a tiny bird on a delicate branch Almost unaware that breezes become gusts ” that hits so strong! Sometimes i feel that way, and it resonates on a soul level! The best songs maybe sung when one sings from the heart , not caring about who listens to their song. What a profound poem! Pleasure reading this

Thank you so much for your positive review, it's uplifting to read :) anxiety is an interesting thing to map, particularly when it's inconsistent. It would be wonderful to figure out how to switch it off. Thanks again :)
