"I'm teetering on a knife's edge between
sorrow and happiness."
Quote- by Constance

ever since I can remember ...
my life has been ... lived on the edge of a knife
between grief and sorrow, love and happiness
the emotions mingle in my soul
to collide
in the corridors of my mind
~ often I am floating on waves of grief
and I come crashing down
into the ravaged garden that is my reality ~
there of have been times of deep love
and happiness and I have known joy
but death has come slithering
and taken it- for what is written by God
cannot be changed ...
~ o, storms shake the ocean of my sleep
and in dreams I am lost in a sea of grey stones
where the shadows of my life dwell ~
but, I have made peace with the knife
and drink from the cup of deep blue sky
now, I find sweetness in the dregs of yesterday
and though my life is still weather-stained
I set sail for my true north ... each new day
where hope shines ... like a pebble in the gloom
and gentle winds are always blowing ...
~ yes, there are days when I teeter on the knife's edge
and there are days when I must ... change direction
but, I have found my tranquility and serenity
and that has made... all the difference ~
