Trying to hold on to summer glory A poppy nods in a brown field Soon comes the time for rest

It's always sad when summer blooms make way for winter. Thank goodness it is just a period of rest before spring sun melts the snow once more. I was wondering if you had heard anything since we spoke last night. Love, Carolyn

This is wonderfully nostalgic...the shivering thought of fall. My name is Dave. What happened is this. When I joined the soup I thought they wanted my middle name which is Reynolds. Somehow what came out was DaveR. I thought, what the hell, so I left the r on and called myself daver; after all, there are a whole lot of Daves around I have also called myself Austin Reynolds. Silly isn't it? Love, daver

Oh, dear Barbara, Fall is just around the corner. Summer has quickly passed, too quickly. Your lovely words are the reminder to enjoy the beauty still abundant...for a little longer. Always, DAS-J
