Just a Slice

if they were all watching would i slice my heart open and bleed for them to see care who chose to watch who offered to help or who walked away if i were to bleed from open wounds alone in the presence of pure silence and only hear echoes of blood as applause i'd still bleed the same blood from the same slice either way (just inspired to write)

Ah, a woman of principle! Me -- a mouse who retches silently at the sight of more than a little blood, concerned about what others might think. ~ Yellow to the core

i can't handle the sight of blood any more either...i can a nose bleed or something minor but nothing big...i used to work in a hospital, emergency room even... saw an autopsy at 18, saw bodies pulled from rivers... nothing bothered me back then...i am less strong since having kids for some reason... luckily this was only referring to bleeding poetry... hugs

I think each time we write we bleed a bit. Not all who write bleed in such a beautiful way. Hugs Rick.

Do I care...if anyone sees my pain...no... I don't... for what help could any offer... Anyway... Who could understand...when pain is uniquely individual... Even though the same hand of fate... Delivers... That painful blow... Perceptions differ... and everyone sinks or swims accordingly... Hi...

and we will have that pain whether others are around or we are alone... like poetry... we will bleed ink alone or in front of others if we have the urge to bleed, we bleed regardless... hello Robert!

This is very emotive Sandy, I thought it was for SO's contest, but either way very impressive write, I know this is just a write, good thing, if I didn't know you I would be worried!

Beautiful and the message is very clear. But I would hope if you did everyone around would want to help, to lift you, to protect you from the harm they see.

perhaps one would think but not everyone knows how to react to what they see or feel for that matter...people turn their back on people with cancer because they fear it... some turn their back on love for the same reason...some people are great listeners others close their ears... but it was just an inspired poem...i myself am fine... thank you Chris for your kind words... (i could have just put up a happy or sad face like someone did to my comment...lol) Have a great weekend... hugs
